Event Details

This training will cover Legal Basics and Standards & Guidelines to prepare participants for the legal and technical frameworks needed to succeed as future commissioners and advocates. Content will focus on best practices, but also Texas and Austin-specific case studies.

The goal of CAMP is to provide high-quality, engaging and informative training to preservation related boards and commissions through presentations, hands-on exercises, group discussions, networking and mentoring via live training. NAPC has an exceptional team of CAMP Trainers including commissioners, local, state and national staff members, attorneys, consultants and commission partners.

Preservation Austin's mission is to empower Austinites to shape a more inclusive, resilient, and meaningful community culture through preservation. We hope to increase racial and ethnic representation on Austin's Historic Landmark Commission (HLC) and to increase racial and ethnic representation among advocates at HLC meetings.
