OUR OFFICE
Preservation Austin operates from the McFarland-McBee House, located at 3805 Red River Street, Austin, Texas, 78751. Our standard hours of operation are Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m. To request an appointment to meet with our staff, contact the appropriate team member at the directory link above.

Walking, biking, public transit, and ridesharing are always encouraged when visiting! The house is located directly along CapMetro bus routes 10 and 335 (and near routes 7, 322, and 345). Our small parking lot includes one ADA parking space and a bike rack available for use. During events the lot is generally reserved for staff, volunteers, and presenters. If the lot is full, street parking can typically be found along 38th and 39th Streets on either side of the McFarland-McBee House. Please adhere to public right-of-way parking rules and be respectful of neighbors; do not block or use surrounding driveways which are privately owned.

Preservation Austin is pleased to open our doors to the community by offering a welcoming space for your next meeting or event. 

The JuanRaymon Rubio Community Room at The McFarland-McBee House is available for rent for uses that align with Preservation Austin's mission and that provide community value or benefit. The community room meeting space is suitable for use for presentations, staff retreats and board meetings. More Information Here
