Preservation Austin is thrilled to present our 66th Annual Preservation Merit Awards Celebration. This signature event honors the everyday Austinites dedicated to preserving our city’s heritage.
This year we’re headed to Central Machine Works – itself a past Preservation Merit Award winner, and an inspiring adaptive reuse success story – for an evening of locally brewed drinks, seasonal dinner selections, and live music. Connect with designers, builders, policy-makers, community advocates, and cultural leaders at Austin’s premiere preservation industry event as we toast another wonderful year of exceptional heritage-based work. If you’re a fan of classic Texas architecture, hometown heroes, and heartwarming neighborhood triumphs, this is a party you won’t want to miss!
Since 1960, our Preservation Merit Awards have highlighted groundbreaking preservation efforts throughout the city. All proceeds from this event support our mission to empower Austinites to shape a more inclusive, resilient, and meaningful community culture through preservation.

We kindly request that you consider making an additional donation to cover online processing fees, so that your entire contribution goes to Preservation Austin.

Tickets are non-refundable, and support our nonprofit's work year-round. If you would like to transfer your ticket, simply let your guest know to check in under the name of the ticket purchaser.
Event Details
Come dressed to celebrate! This event will be largely indoors, though Central Machine Works also has a lovely beer garden for us to enjoy.
Biking, walking, public transit, and ridesharing are always encouraged. For those who prefer to drive, the venue has a rear parking lot which can be accessed from E. 5th Street. Please note that three ADA parking spaces and all rideshare dropoffs/pickups are located at the building’s Cesar Chavez entrance.
