Legacy Business Month is back, y’all! October has been *officially* designated as Legacy Business Month by the City of Austin, and we’re celebrating once again! Join us at Zilker Brewing Company for the launch of Preservation Austin’s third annual celebration of the classic businesses that have been keeping Austin cool for over 20 years.
The kick-off party will feature:
Free LBM passports available for pickup! Preservation Austin staff will be on site to answer questions about this innovative program.
“Longtime Legacy,” a limited-edition fruited-sour beer crafted by Zilker Brewing Co. with custom can art from GRZ Monsters – it’s the official beer of Legacy Business Month! A portion of the proceeds will go to PA.
A passport photo-booth. Personalize your LBM passport with your picture – dress to impress!
Special appearances from our guests of honor, including Senator Sarah Eckhardt, Representative John Bucy, and Council Member Krista Laine - remarks at 7PM!

We’re so grateful to our partners at Zilker Taproom who are generously donating a portion of the proceeds from the beer sales to Preservation Austin. And we’ll be joined by some of this year’s featured legacy business owners, which means you can grab a “Longtime Legacy” beer with some longtime legends! This event is free and open to the public, so come on over and join the party!
