2024 Homes Tour

SATURDAY, APRIL 20 - SUNDAY, APRIL 21
10 AM - 5 PM

Preservation Austin is proud to present our 2024 Homes Tour! The stunning homes on our 2024 tour embody more than a century of Austin’s remarkable heritage – from a log cabin to mid-century marvel and everything in between!

Ours is the only tour of its kind in Austin—a combination of architecture, history, and culture—that connects Austinites to historic spaces in powerful and personal ways. See a new side of our city with this immersive tour full of contemporary and classic design inspiration, and witness the endless adaptability of historic homes to 21st-century living. On Saturday, April 20, we’ll feature five charming homes across Austin and on Sunday, April 21, five other lovely homes around town will be on display. Homes will be open from 10 am - 5 pm each day. This will be a weekend to remember!

The annual Homes Tour is Preservation Austin’s marquee event and most important fundraiser. All proceeds, including ticket sales and sponsorships, support our advocacy efforts and educational programming year-round. Please join us for this incredible showcase of community heritage, style, and sustainability on Preservation Austin’s 2024 Homes Tour!

Saturday parking considerations:

Balcones Drive has minimal parking options and the area is quite hilly. Be aware that parking is likely to be tricky in this area. Please park only on the east side of Balcones, to allow for traffic flow. Perry Lane (a 0.2 mile walk) is another parking option.

The featured homes on Givens and Maple Avenue are directly across the street from each other. Unrestricted street parking can be found in the immediate Rogers-Washington-Holy Cross neighborhood, as well as the Chestnut neighborhood to the south.

About the Homes Tour

Preservation Austin debuted our Homes Tour in 1993 in celebration of our nonprofit's 40th birthday. Our goal with this event is to champion diverse neighborhoods and histories citywide to honor the contributions of all those who made Austin what it is today. Each spring, the Homes Tour highlights Austin’s wide breadth of cultural and architectural history, with past tours focusing on the Art of Craftsman Style, the Bouldin Creek neighborhood, and Castle Hill, among many others.
