Join Preservation Austin for our 27th Annual Homes Tour, “The Art of the Craftsman Style!” This year’s event celebrates seven stunning Craftsman style homes citywide. Their histories give a glimpse of Craftsman style living in the early 20th century. Creative updates and additions show their seamless adaptation to modern life today.

Our featured homes are privately-owned and not ADA accessible. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

PURCHASE TICKETS:

Tickets are $30/PA members, $40/non-members. Online sales end Friday, April 26 and tickets will be available at all event locations (cash, check, or card). Children 12 and under are free. BECOME A MEMBER TODAY TO RECEIVE OUR MEMBERS-ONLY TICKET DISCOUNT!

We are pleased to extend Preservation Austin's member discount to Harry Ransom Center members  as well.

VOLUNTEER:

This is our biggest volunteer opportunity of the year! Docents and ticket-takers for three-hour shifts receive a free ticket to the tour and invitation to our exclusive tour after party for volunteers and sponsors. Sign up for the house and shift of your choice HERE!

BIKE THE TOUR:

Our partnership with our friends at Bike Austin continues, and they've provided two routes for seeing all or part of this year's homes by bike, electric assist bike, or scooter. This year's homes are spread across Central Austin so please choose the route that fits with your skill and comfort level. We'll have bike racks at all tour locations. Enjoy!

2019 Homes Tour Complete Bike Route (21 mi): This complete route of all featured homes begins (and ends) at  2002 E. 16th Street. This is a safe but rigorous route for casual cyclists. It would  be a good fit for travel by electric scooter or an electric assist bike as well!

2019 Homes Tour Northwest/Partial Bike Route (11 mi): This partial route begins (and ends) at 4206 Avenue D and includes that home, along with 3810 Duval, 3118 Wheeler, and 1412 W. 9th Street. This is a less strenous route so we recommend biking these homes in the morning, then using another form of transportation to visit featured homes in East Austin and South Austin in the afternoon.

HARRY RANSOM CENTER EXHIBITION:

All tour attendees are encouraged to see the The Rise of Everyday Design: The Arts and Crafts Movement in Britain and America to learn more about this fascinating era! We recommend setting aside a separate date to visit this extensive exhibition.
